Nobody wins in poker long term

Poker Grump knows how to cheer someone up when they're down.

You see, I had a twitch, an itch, a wild hair up my ass (call it what you may) and I decided the only cure was some poker.  Because I happened to randomly check Twitter (and it's very random that I do that) I saw that the Mirage now gives $2/hour comps (And I sure hope they stay on the card and don't need to be printed off via $5 coupons that expire after a week like before) and I thought that I should head there for the games.

Within 30 minutes of me sitting down and playing I had already dropped 3 annoying hands for more money than I cared to.
The table was tight and ready for someone to play aggressively and win some pots, it just so happened that I got the cards to do just that.  The problem was the rest of the table was not cooperating.

My first raise was called two ways and while I flopped a good hand I lost money to a guy who limp called my raise from early position with J6 offsuit and flopped two pair.  He played it passively and I didn't lose too terribly much.

Shortly later I had a guy call a raise preflop and then call my bet on the flop only to turn his set of 8's.
Then a bit later I had a guy call down to the river to hit another set of 8's only to be out done by the guy who just nabbed a 2 outer by hitting his gutshot for the straight.

This is when I received my "pick-me-up" message from the Grumpmiester himself.

1/2 NL is NOT Beatable.

A little while later I decided I needed to show a profit so out of the blind I called a small raise (as did half the table) with 44 and flopped a 4.  I bet into the raiser who called my bet as did one other person.
The turn brought a beautiful 4 and I led out again and was called.
The River did not bring a 5th 4 but I bet out again and was called.
I showed my Quadalicious and got to play on some sort of Video Poker Machine in order to try to win $45,000 which did not happen and as such I took my seat and waited to collect my lowly $100 instead.

A short while later I got Aces in the small-blind.  I made a bigger raise than normal and got called 6 ways.
On the flop I bet 2/3rds pot and got called by one player - the worst player at the table.
On the turn I led out a bit larger than my last bet and was called.
The river brought 100 different annoying cards and I check called $50 only to see that my opponent had turned his gut-shot to take a big pot off of me.

Here is a hand that was kind of fun.
I have no history on Villain.  He is an older white guy but I have no reads.
I have $200ish and cover Villain.
I am in a blind with QTs

There is a small raise to $8 and there are 2 callers back to me and I decide to gamble so I call.
4 players in - Pot is $32.

Flop comes out QT4 - with QT are hearts.
I check and Villain bets out $15.  It folds around to me and I make it $55.
Villain calls.
Turn (~$140)
Turn is an Ace of not hearts.
I bet $70 and Villain pushes.
The Push is for about $80 more so I feel this is a clear call.
For the life of me I cannot put Villain on calling my flop check/raise with KT unless it happened to be hearts giving him a Royal Draw to go with it.
There is the possibility of 44 for the flopped set.  I'm not sure he'd play TT so passively Pre but I guess we should include that in there as well (discounted because I also am holding a T).

After some debate I called with my top two and Villain immediately flipped over Triumphantly his.....
Q8 off-suit.
The only thing I can think of is that he put me only on a flush draw.

The river is meaningless and I rake in a nice sized pot which gives me profit for the evening.

Overall it was a good table with one guy who was making some large ($30-$45) Pre Flop Raises and getting lucky (Flopping two 2 with TJ and turning Trip 9's with Q9o) and raking in a ton of chips because of the luck.

When you have amazing hair like this guy it's not hard to see why the poker gods smiled upon him.

His hair is short - there are no braids.  That is actually a pattern shaved into his head that goes the whole way around, just not on the top.

Oh bless his awesome heart.
He also wore a huge gold watch and his glasses say DG on them, which I can only guess means Damned Good!

When I left he turned his $200 into well over $700 mainly by winning two large hands when he made huge raises pre and nailed the flop/turn.

The only other thing to report is that fellow blogger Yakshi recently posted a song by some rapper I have never heard of named A$AP Rocky.

On my way into and exiting the Mirage Poker Room this evening I happened to spot this....
Performing Super Bowl Sunday.
Oh, it's on.

Summary, in True TBC Style - my Live Bankroll now sits at $150 but I fear that this might not last too long.
You see, VD is coming (make all the VD jokes you want) up and I've got a present and a dinner to afford.  So, I fear that my bankroll might be going back down to ZERO unless I can find a way to run it up and make some more money quickly.
Damn women, always raiding my wallet.

My Poker Sins Have Been Forgiven

I'm not the type to pray but every once in a while there is a point where all things good and holy converge and my shit is left smelling like a garbage bag full of roses and cheap booze (instead of french fries).  Last night was one of those nights and it took a great deal of patience to get there.

Everything started out innocently enough as I sat down at a running 1/2 NL game which had a decent amount of money on it.  The big stack was to my left which is kind of unfortunate but other than in one particular hand it really didn't make a difference.  That particular hand, however, was the first hand of my evening.

Upon sitting I was the big blind and I choose to play instead of letting the button pass.  I know that a certain someone would say that it's blasphemy to do such a thing and that I must be filthy rich because only rich people are stupid enough to do that because they obviously do not care about money.
So, being that I'm rich I posted and got dealt K6.  We saw a flop with 5 people and it was beautiful at KT6 with two diamonds.
I threw $20 out there as an over-feeler-bet to just take down a pot right away and the guy to my left called.  Folded to a guy in late position who decided to just push all in for an additional $75 and then folded back to me.
He was short and I have no idea of how he plays because this is my first hand at the table.  It's a tough position as he could have KT but I figure him most likely to have a holding like top pair and a flush draw.  So, I decide to call when the guy to my left surprises me by going all in.
I've already got half my stack in the pot and while I feel I'm kind of beat here I call.  I still have about $100 behind so would anyone fold here?  I have top and bottom and the pot is $400 and I have to call an additional $100?  Either way I wasn't good enough.
The turn is a 6 completing my boat and the river is a blank - however the guy to my left limped with TT and had a much bigger boat than I.  RELOAD! (this guy then flops two more sets within the orbit and grows his stack more).

At this point I decided to get run over by the deck.  Getting run over by the deck is awesome, however there is one caveat.  Other people need to at least be hitting enough to help you grow your stack.  When this doesn't happen you just sit there in wonder and know that you are wasting a hot streak.  Blah says the fish.

So for the next hour or so I flop all kinds of marvelous stuff and win $100 of my money back.

I flopped a set of ducks and won $30.  I flopped two pair after a raise and got a 3 way all in and split with another guy with the same two pair.  I flopped 2 straights and got nothing.  Flopped a boat with 63 in the big blind and 5 other players and nobody played even after a K on the turn. On the button I raised 23s to $11 and the flop came out 227.  There were 5 callers to my raise.  I bet $20 on the flop and everyone went away.
This kept happening for close to an hour and when my cards stopped hitting so hard I'd made back $100.

Finally the divine powers decided to smile upon me.

I'm on the button and look down and see the holy duo of 2spades and 4spades.  I decide that I am raising to $15 when it gets to me and I watch 4 people limp.  However, interference happens as the guy to my right decides to raise to $15.  Decisions decisions.
I thought about a re-pop but I know that 2 of the 4 limpers were 97% to call the raise and build a pot for me and as such I slid out my three red-birds. 1 of the 4 tagged along to see a flop.
The Flop:

At this point bells and whistles were going off in my head because it's hard for a flop to hit me harder than this one.  Sure, I didn't quite have anything right now but dammit that doesn't matter. I've got 321 draws to a winner and pretty sure pairing my 4 or 2 might be good as well.  Guy in early position grabs some chips but decides to check.  This guy was a pretty weak player.  If he limped he was almost guaranteed to call a raise. He chased more than he should have and as a result he kept putting bills on the table.  He got stacked on my 1st hand (he was the original pusher) and he got stacked (by me) later when he pushed all in and I had flopped 2 pair again (this was the hand that I split with someone else with the same flopped 2 pair).
Guy to my right cuts out $30 for his bet and the action is on me.  Calling $30 into $75 isn't ideal here but it's slightly better when I really believe that the last guy will call the $30 as well.  I figure that I can take this down on the turn with a big bet most of the time because guy to my right most likely has overs and the other guy most likely will just go away (he just rebought so had near $200 instead of like his normal $75ish.  He had a habit of calling flops and folding turns until he got into the $75 range and then he would push and donate).
So, I smooth called while chanting 5 or spade 5 or spade 5 or spade 5 or spade in my head.  The last completely disappeared in my mind at this point and like any other fish I just stopped paying attention to him. I do not know if he called or if he folded or what happened.  He just faded out of existence.

Turn:

Beautiful. Perfect in every imaginable way. The stone cold nuts. The Holy Order of the Mighty Deuce-Four heard my prayers and answered them with a resounding chorus of angels singing.
Guy thinks for about 45 seconds or so and cuts out $75.
I think for approx the same amount of time and cut out $75.

River:

Not 100% the card that I was hoping for but then again I was unsure what I was really looking for.  Guy's holdings are still pretty undefined because I have played this hand very passive.  In all reality I was hoping for a paired board so that he could either A- Catch Quads and we could hit the bad beat (hit earlier in the evening at a 3/6 Limit game of course) or B- Bluff push his remaining $250 trying to convince me that he just rivered my flush with his awesome boat.
However, none of that happened and after some deliberation he checked.
I thought, again, for approx 45 seconds before pushing out a $100 stack and watched him count out $100 and then look at the rest of his chips like he wanted to push (I should have just bet $75 again to give him a bigger push me thinks) and eventually he decided on mucking.

I, however decided to flash my hand and take a picture of it to appease the Gods even more.

I later went to the bathroom and snapped this pic just to end my post with it.
Also, you'll all be happy to know that I ended up cashing out actual profit for my session.
Yep, one fucking dollar.

Blogger Poker (Pt 2)

As Poker Grump said several times during our session "Poker is easy."
And yes, it certainly is when you are being run over by the deck.

In the 1st Installment of last nights tomfoolery I covered most everything except the actual poker itself.  And, since at one point I used to claim that this is/was a Poker Blog I figure that I at least owe it to myself to blog about poker when I get around to playing some.

However, because I'm easily side tracked, I'd like to share a short story before I get to the actual poker.
I discovered, after being made fun of by my trio of cohorts, that there is a bathroom much closer than the one I'm used to hitting up.  They all pointed and said "You know, with a casino as big as this there are bound to be more than one bathroom."  So, next time I had to talk to a man about a horse I made my way over to this new found pissing spot to enjoy the "more comfortable" accommodations.

While doing what it was that I came to do and making erotic faces (don't we all?) I got to overhear the end of a conversation from two buddies who enjoy pissing together.  As the one finished he started making sure everything was tucked back into place and turned to his buddy and said "You know, I'm not washing my hands this time" to which his buddy replied "Well me neither."
Then they left the room, comments fulfilled.
This was humorous to me mainly because this is a conversation that I have never had, nor ever thought about having with friends.  If I choose to not wash my hands I don't feel the need to announce it in advance to anyone, let alone a room full of total strangers with dick in hand.
And, the fact that his buddy thought it was a good enough of an idea to go along with perplexes me.  This, to me, is the perfect time to rip your buddy a new asshole and try to embarrass him.

Now, for what you all came for.

Upon arriving at the casino I was immediately seated at table 6 and requested my table change to follow "that old man right there."
Rob got called for his table change and I was taking his seat.  Not too long later my wish was granted and I'm now sitting at a table with two people I am familiar with and who I know I'll have a good evening talking to.

My goal was to play tight and try to not get involved in too many pots. I only brought one buy-in and I really wanted to last at least until the Grump showed up (he was taking his time to photograph the eclipse).
So, all of that goes out the window when I see my first hand is QQ (1st of many times for the evening) and I raise it up to $17 I believe.  No callers but Rob made sure to grumble about me raising (after he limped I believe) so I made my typical comment about "Doesn't everyone raise their first hand" to which he replied "Well, you sure as hell do."
After the fold around I showed my hand and said "Sometimes I even have a hand when I raise" or something to similar effect.
The night picked up quickly as I called a small raise with 88 and 5 or so people went to the flop.  The flop came out a beautiful J83 with two spades.  (I feel horrible here because I don't remember 100% exact details).  I believe that Prudence put out a bet which I think got a caller.  When it got to me I decided that 1) the board was too draw heavy and 2)I want to let Prudence know where I stand so I 3) raised.  I believe that Guy X called the raise and then Prudence pushed.  It folded to me and I announced that I have no choice but to call which but a look of dread on the face of Dear Prudence.
Guy X was not very happy about this situation and folded.  It appears as though everyone and their mother hit this flop and sadly it was Prudence and I who hit the hardest.
I flipped over my middle set and she showed her top 2.  Guy x claimed to have J9 of spades (which would have gotten there on the turn) and another guy said he had AJ.
My hand holds up and Prudence announces that she will be gunning for me.

Not too long after this my favorite dealer comes to the table.  Tall, bald and good personality.  He gives Prudence some cough drops and I let him know he needs to share.  Next thing I know I've got two beside my chips and I'm a happy camper.
Kirk settles in and deals me 8-4 of spades in the big blind and I check when a lot of people limp.  The flop comes out all goddamned pretty with a 4, a second 4 and then finally and 8.  Yes, the grrouch flopped himself a boat.
I checked and either Random person bet and Rob raised or Rob bet - I don't remember. I must be getting old. It got back to me and I raised and Rob called.  I was not quite happy about this.
The turn came out something to which I paid no attention to and so I put out a hefty bet.  Rob thought about it and I told him that he just needed to go away because my next bet, on the river, was all in no matter what fell next.
Prudence looked at the board and had flashbacks of the nasty 8's that I held against her and gave me a look. I shrugged like "yeah, I've got it" and Rob finally called.
The River was shown and I pushed much like I said I was going to expecting Rob to just go away after my HUGE sign of strength (the betting, the talking, the basically stating out loud I hit harder than you did buddy) and I showed my boat.  Rob flipped over his trips as well and I do understand that it's bloody difficult to get away from that hand.
Less than 30 minutes and a triple up - sadly all off of my friends and basically none off of anyone else.
However, my main happiness was that I knew was going to book a winning session and I could just play tight and wait for hands and just talk and have fun.
Whatever - shit doesn't go down like that.
I was dealt about 30 pocket pairs all night long, I saw a ton of flops with them and I hit a few sets.

The rest of my night was similar and I avoided big losses against an over pair and against flopped quads (where the guy checked every street to me).
I hit 4 total sets and stacked two people.
I flopped a boat and stacked someone.
I turned a boat and stacked someone.
And I won a bunch of other random pots where I didn't get the opportunity to stack people.

During the evening we had one had that was raised to $7 either UTG or UTG+1 and everyone at our table called it and I think 4 people from other tables called it as well.  It got to Rob in the big blind and I told him that pot odds dictates he has to make this call.  he agonized for some reason and eventually folded and I told him that I couldn't want to get home so that I could make fun of him.
Of course the flop comes out and he grimaces like he would have nailed it and tripled up or whatever so I made sure to let him know was only $5 more and he has very poor decision making!!!

Grump called a PFR from Prudence with The Most Powerful Hand in Poker and flopped trips and took a pretty good pot off of her (This is a theme that ran strong most of the evening with her.  She kept getting really good second best hands).

Overall a pretty fun and entertaining evening with a huge score by me.  Now I have to figure out what to do with all this new found wealth.
Should I invest it in hookers and blow?
Should I get a massage with a happy ending?
Should I get an unhappy ending?
Should I invest it in my future (A new computer with a kick ass graphics card to play Diablo 3 on)?
Should I get it in all ones so that my wallet looks bigger and I can attract the chicks?
Should I pay someone to sit behind me at the poker table and call me baby?
I do not know the answers to any of these important questions.

Blogger Poker (part 1)

There are so many different titles that I wanted to use for this blog post, or even subtitles.

I wanted to start out with "You can't win them all ... so crush the ones you do"
I wanted to do a play on Rob's ending for his recent post (which also references Grumps post) which is "Three sides to every story ... Rob's, Grumps, The Truth"
"Poker is easy"

This is the night that almost didn't happen for me.  With the computer problems that started a couple of days back and slaving away trying to make my computer love me again (which, by the way, she does) I had been tired and exhausted.  This exhaustion, of course, had nothing to do with the fact that I've had many late nights and my body still insists on getting me up at somewhere between 5:30 - 6:30 and calls that sleeping in.
So, tired is a mild way to put it.

I started my day off installing Diablo 3 finally.  It's been a journey that I think started me going to a strange site to test my computer for compatibility, ruining some boot sector files which I guess were not repairable, having to erase all of my data and start over from scratch (which was an easier process back when I was rocking Windows 95 and NT and had a desk top instead of a lap dance) and resetting my computer back to it's original factory settings.
I'm just thankful that I use Google Chrome as my browser of choice (I am Google's bitch at this point) because it backed up all my settings and bookmarks to the mysterious cloud where Tu-Pac, Biggie and Elvis hang out while trying to corrupt my data with pot, hookers and PB and Banana sandwiches.  I love you Big E!

So, after a little bit of that I fall asleep and take a nap without remembering that I'm supposed to be at a home poker game at 1 o'clock.  I get the call at 5 after asking me if I am still coming so I throw some clothes on and hurry out there while I'm being blinded away.
I last less than two hours only getting one real playable hand (QQ) and still trying to play 75% of my hands.  I leave shortly thereafter because I think I'm going to be meeting up with a chick (which never happens) and end up at home playing some Diablo 3.

After being my first few quests I notice I've gotten a message from the Grump himself asking me if I was still planning on meeting up with Rob.  I think about it for 3 seconds and ask Rob where he is, is he playing and a series of messages later I have set up a group meeting of the blogging mind at BSC.
Rob states that he has to eat (whatever) and Grump states that he wants to watch some chick named Eclipse dance (more believable) and head out anyway because I don't play often and I'm planning on making it an early night to take care of some other business (and this never materializes).

I get to BSC and there are seats open.  I am pointed to table 6 where I will be replacing the elderly boob lover who is changing tables to sit next to a lovely young Prudence. I tell the floor man that I'd love to follow the old tally-whacker over to that table and purty puhleese put my name up for a table change - he is powerful and makes it happen.  I play for maybe an orbit folding the likes of 82 before getting the call to move tables and get into one of my favorite seats, the 1 seat.
This was good because Prudence (and after all this time I finally got her real name which I thought was cool) was in the 4 seat and Rob was in the 5 so they were mid-table and easy to talk with.

This was the set up. I've got to head into work and I've still got a lot of typing to do including some really bad poker on Rob's part (not as bad as he makes it out to be), some good lines by everyone's part and just a good time in general.  THIS is the main reason I play poker.  I love to socialize and have fun. This is the reason I will probably never move beyond the 1-2 NL games as well because at these tables I can afford to not study every detail of my opponents while chatting up those whose company I enjoy and still turn a profit (at least, I used to be able to until someone shit in my Wheaties.).

I also had Prudence make a comment which leads me to believe she might have actually read a recent post I made.  Makes me smile - I just want to entertain others after all.

Part two maybe coming later today - depends on how hammered I am at work and when my evening plans will start.

It feels like Hooker Week

EDIT:  Since posting this last night and working today a few more of the bloggers decided to join in on the Hooker Fun and I thought I'd take the time to point you in their direction as well:
Lightning36 decided to join in the fun with a good old fashioned Hooker Story.
Then From there I followed a comment made by JT88Keys and will be adding him to my blogroll as well.
I received an email that the Chaos Theory blog was updated and noticed it was a hooker story as well and also linked to the Poker Grump doing a hooker story of his own.
I believe that to be 7 different blogs in a matter of a few days!  Suhweet!!
One more that's not technically a Hooker blog - but Lucki Duck said that he will be commando during his trip to Vegas and hopes to bring back a story!

So it just sort of feels like Hooker week in the blog-o-sphere and I'm going to say we owe all of this to Rob.
Recently (and not so recently too honestly) he has had a post or two about hooker sightings in various casino's and I really must applaud him for the length that he goes to in order to try and get his readers a good story.  It is really inspiring and something I am most likely going to copy in the future so that I can provide good, old fashioned, entertainment for all of my readers.
Robs latest story talks about a particularly nice/chatty one at his favorite casino and there is nothing that I need to expand upon, I just think it's a good read.  Especially the part where he tries to get as close as possible to eaves drop on the conversation for more material.  Bloody Brilliant!!

That brings me to example number two where sevencard2003 talks about how he can't find any hookers where he is at and needs to talk to someone younger than he to get tips on how to spot them.

So, that leaves me and while I do not have any recent stories to tell about Hookers, I really just kinda want to talk about them.

I'm going to start at the worst part of the story and that is me admitting that unless I have been approached, I probably couldn't pick out a hooker from a normal person.  Maybe I just haven't put enough time into studying people and figuring out what is what and maybe it's just because I'm so innocent, but I really can't just talk a walk down a long stretch of a casino and go "There be hookers Thar and thar and thar and oh bloody hell that one is obvious."  I'd probably be wrong 85% of the time and 10% would be lucky guesses.

The first time I was ever approached was before I actually moved to this awesome city that I now call home. I was vacationing with 3 friends and we were staying at the Excalibur.  I had just gotten done with a long session at the MGM Grand poker room and was walking/staggering back to get a much needed nap so I could wake up and start the next day.  Both of my vacationing buddies were already in the room and sleeping and I believe the time to be somewhere between 2 and 5 am.

Walking through the NYNY so that I could take the next bridge to Excalibur I was passed by 2 or 3 ladies of the early morning and one approached me asking me if I wanted to have a good time.  I was a bit shocked at first because I'm not used to complete strangers saying anything to me unless I happen to be wearing something with a Steelers Logo on it (and then it's just the normal stuff sports fans say to people who share the same passion in passing).  I kept walking and she became more persistent.
Hooker: "Hey baby, you down for a good time tonight?"
grouch: "Unfortunately not, headed to my room where my friends are sleeping"
Hooker: "You sure, I'm sure your friends won't mind one bit?"
grouch: "yeah, i'm pretty sure, they are in bed sleeping and probably don't want waken up to get kicked out so I can have a quickie"
Hooker: "well, I can always bring my friends along to entertain them"
grouch: "No thanks, appreciate the offer but not tonight"

And that was the end of the conversation. I continued my walk to get some sleep and they moseyed on looking for someone with a warm room and ample money.   As I was walking back to the room I briefly wondered why I was approached but when I got back to the room and hit up the urinal it was pretty damned obvious.  I look like the type of person that generally doesn't just have vagina thrown at him on a regular basis.  I look like a hillbilly from the mountains who hasn't shaved in multiple months and any attention from the opposite sex is a rarity.  It is with this knowledge that I actually expect to get "hit on" more often over the course of my years living in Vegas.
In the future I am hoping to pick up better stories about being approached though.  Thus far both of my approaches have been pretty much the same thing.  Me saying no because I have a roommate and them saying that my roommate probably won't mind at all.  It makes me wonder how many times guys take a hooker back to their hotel room and gets his rocks off while his buddy sleeps (or tries to sleep) in a bed across the room.  I'm sure it's more often that I'd like to believe.

Week of the Shit-Storms (week in review)

So I make a post about cats and dogs and I get my most commented on post yet. This started as an alternative post to Josie talking about how she doesn't much get along with the canine species.

On Twitter Poker Grump pointed me to an article about how cats, in all reality, might actually be driving their owners crazy.
There are a lot of words on that page, but it's worth a read.
I've also had fellow Blogger The Crafty Southpaw come back with an article about how he doesn't agree much with my assessment that cats are vile evil creatures from another dimension, but instead loves his cats and gives many reasons why. I would also like to point out that I'm quite happy that he spelled my internet alter ego correctly by including two r's which most people either over look or don't care about :)

I also accidentally stirred up a shit-storm on Robs Vegas & Poker Blog when I commented on a post comparing two people. I since have deleted my post and the person I pissed off has his deleted as well.  However, there was a lot of fun on Twitter that started because of my comment.

Small Potatoes wrote up a post that reminds me one of my main goals with being a homeowner, poker games.
I'm looking forward to being able to have friends over to the house (hopefully by the end of the year) to enjoy a nice small stakes game of poker withe some good snacks and a bunch of beer.  Sure, someone might accidentally win $20-$40 bucks one night but I'll be damned if first prize isn't going to be more about bragging rights.

I'm also going to re-point out that C.S. Splitter now has his books available on Create Space in print form. They will soon be coming to Amazon in print form as well. Or, if you prefer to go all new-age on us then you can also pick them up from Amazon.com in e-book form as well.

Conversely, editor extraordinaire Tricia Kristufek is also pimping out the Splitter books as well - and recently has converted her blog over to her own domain name.

Yesterday I finally got my lower wisdom teeth removed. It was a fun process full of extra Novocaine that made it hard to swallow for a while.  It took a good 3+ hours before the effects finally wore off and then the soreness set in.  It's not so agonizingly annoying like some people make it out to be, but the biggest annoyance is that I really could go for some food right now.
It's recommended that you eat baby food for the first day so that nothing gets into your new bloody wound and causes an infection, or keeps it open causing it to bleed even longer.  So, dinner last night was a bowl of ice cream.  Today thus far I had a slim-fast shake and i've got a bunch of power-aid drinks to get me through the day.  However, it doesn't stop my desire for real sustenance.  I'm going to gorge when I get the chance.

I found a 1 month Xbox Live subscription card among my junk (no, not that junk). So, I activated the code as I plan on playing some Gears of War 3 tonight with Matt (who lives in PA and doesn't have a blog or anything cool for me to link to).  I have yet to really even play the game so we plan on running through it this weekend so that I can open up Insane mode.
Then myself, himself, Timself and Gregself are planning on running through Gears to beat it on Insane mode which will probably unlock achievements for beating the game on Insane, Beating the game with another person, Beating the game with 3 other people, and Beating the game at home and naked while singing the Star Spangled Banner (and probably a lot fucking better than Steven Tyler did).
