Fame or Shame - Divisional Round

Just as an FYI I will have info updated later today.
I have the picks but between everyone being horribly sick, me working inventory last week and the house being in terrible disarray because we just had laminate put in all the bedrooms and my computer is somewhere in the pile of stuff that was moved but not located yet.

Once the computer is found I'll get the update.

Seattle was picked by almost the entire top six. Colts had one pick.

As I said above, this past week and this weekend have been utter hell.

There are two weeks worth of games left and the points are tight for the money spots, however last year was proof that anything could happen.
This next week is pretty tough.

Fame or Shame - Wild Card Results

The Playoffs are where the men become men and the boys choose the Steelers or Lions.
If you picked the Colts, congrats - You made the best call.
Unfortunately, the only people who picked the Colts were people near the bottom who really needed a huge blowout - but thems da breaks right?

The Biggest disappointment of the weekend was the Steelers.

Fame or Shame Week 17

I'm missing over half of the team picks for this week so far so I am not publishing this until that is rectified.

I am on my way to work in a few minutes so when I start getting an inflow of picks I will post them in the comments section and then update the post later tonight, probably before the Steelers game.

Remember that we are taking this the whole way to the Super Bowl!  We don't quit before the season ends like those pansy fantasy football leagues out there.

Getting Ready Before the New Year

The year is about to end very suddenly and without much notice, at least that is the way it feels like.

I can tell the coke nail on my left pinky finger is a bit too long because it's getting a bit harder to type using that finger which means I should totally bite it off....er... clip it.  Totally meant clip it, with nail clippers like the rest of the normal functioning world.

I've got a dog resting comfortably on my lap and my boy sleeping about 4 feet from me on a huge pillow so now is better than later.  Nail bitten off, lets go.

In preparation for next year I withdrew approximately 6 grand from my company stock account.  I have paid off a three thousand dollar debt and all that is left is debt from the wedding and honeymoon and the plan is to have that vanish by the end of 2015.

My goal is to get myself ahead so that I am not living month to month but I am living one month ahead.  So, All of my bills for January will be paid with Decembers money.  This will give me more focus and I will be working with set figures.  I already know what I made in December so while I am shopping or deciding to get an extra Big Mac for lunch I will be able to see how much money I have left until the end of the month.  I like this idea a lot an think it is going to help me focus and help me pay off the remaining of my debt faster.

I also am setting aside some of that money as Poker Money so that I can get back out and play once in a while, specifically during the Super Bowl and March Madness.

2014 was by far the most exciting year I have ever been a part of so that means I must be getting better with age right?  Getting married and enjoying my wonderful,but crazy, family has fulfilled me more than I ever thought possible.

2015 can only get better thanks to the birth of my spawn and pending one year wedding anniversary.  Nothing can top our Honeymoon (which I still daydream about lustfully to this day) but I'm hoping to be able to come up with something for the anniversary to make it special.  I've never been so in love in my life.

Today is Xmas Eve which means we will be heading to my parents house for Xmas Part 1, then tomorrow is with the in-laws for Xmas Part 2.

I will have my annual new years revolutions post of stuff I want to accomplish but I'm not going to look back on last year because this past year was freaking amazing and none of my goals actually matter compared to what actually happened.

Life and Video Gaming

As life actually starts to come into some sort of balance (I know that I am jinxing myself by saying that just a mere month before my spawn is scheduled to be born) I find myself being able to balance out my hobbies as well.

I think this is coming mostly in the form of handheld gaming (and reading comic books which I'm a bit behind in).  With playing my DS or Vita or PSP or whatever I am finding that I can play more games because I'm still in the same room with the family and spending time with them and having conversations with them, all at the same time.  It also helps that the boy has a DS as well that he likes to play now and then and that the wife has started to get into basic mobile games (candy crush, etc) now that she has upgraded her phone to a Note 4.

So, I can sit there and play Pokemon or Persona Q (my next DS purchase) while she bitches and moans about running out of lives in whatever candy game she happens to be playing.  It is truly a win/win.

With that being said I created a games tab above (I've created so many and follow through with so few) just so that I can track what I have been playing and what I actually beat, etc.

I've got to sit down and come up with my new years revolutions shortly, some basic and simple things which I should be able to follow through with over the course of the year.  I've had such good intentions the last couple of years but life has come at me fast and furious and everything I know has changed.

Life is truly wonderful.

With that being said, last night I beat Pokemon Omega Ruby.  Well, at least beat the story mode.  I still have some fighters to challenge and I have not caught them all at this point.  In all honesty I am not sure how much more time I'll put into it right now before moving onto the next game.

I'm in the process of listing my "backlog" of games which I own and have to at least play.  I'm excluding some older games that I don't intend on going back to but I'm also trying to start instilling the discipline to not overbuy in games so that I don't end up with 50 games owned and only 8 beat with the rest waiting to be played.
